	ATTENTION ALL WOMEN: MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Preparations are underway for our Annual FAME Women's Retreat October 15-16, 2010 Theme: "Christian Women Building Upon the Foundation" Scripture: " For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ". 1 Corinthians 3:11 (NIV). All FAME women and friends of AME are welcome. Watch for retreat details and registration forms with information on our easy payment plan coming soon. 	VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2010 IS COMING SOON!! First A.M.E. Church, Manassas 2-6 August, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Theme: “Step Up and Go Green for Jesus” Psalm 24:1, KJV The Christian Education Commission is soliciting volunteers for Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2010. Allow God to use your time and talents as teacher or teacher assistant for one of the following classes: Toddlers (ages 2-3), Pre-School (ages 4-5), Primary (ages 6-8), Juniors (ages 9-12), Teens (ages 13-18) and Young Adults (ages 19-30). We would like to have at least four teachers for each class. VBS Orientation will be conducted (dates to be announced) for all VBS teachers and helpers. We also need volunteers for Kitchen/Food Coordinator and Kitchen Helpers. If you would like to volunteer for this year’s VBS, please see Rev. Carol Rogers or Brother Darrell Alston. You may also sign-up on the “sign-up” sheet on the table in the Fellowship Hall.
	An Open Invitation! To any member who is interested in the Music Ministry here at FAME, an invitation is extended for you to join a choir or another component of the Music Ministry. In the coming weeks, look for announcements in the bulletin about events that will highlight our efforts to grow in fellowship, membership and worship!
	To all tutors, students and parents: We will be conducting tutoring sessions here at the church every Tuesday evening from 6:45-8:15 pm. If your child needs academic assistance, please bring them to the church. If you are interested in being a tutor but have not had an opportunity to sign up, the signup sheet is still in the narthex so please indicate your area of interest and availability.
